Nightingale Homecare Celebrates Elf Day

Nightingale Homecare celebrated Elf Day on 6th December 2019.     This annual campaign is run by the Alzheimer's Society to help raise awareness and fund support services, social care and breakthrough research into dementia. Elf Day aims to raise vital funds for people affected by dementia by spreading some festive cheer. Our Nightingale team decided to get involved in Elf day this year by dressing as......you've guessed it ELVES! This included our office staff and carer's who were spreading some festive cheer in the community. Our clients were so happy to see the team dressed up and it brought a smile to many a face, even passers by. The team raised a fantastic £262.00 which will go towards helping  ensure the Alzheimer's Society can be there for people affected by dementia. The Alzheimer's Society are a charity that are investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. They have committed to spending £150 million on cutting-edge research over the next decade. Every project the Alzheimer's Society funds, directly addresses the needs and concerns of people affected by dementia. If you would like to know more about the Alzheimer's Society, the fantastic work they do, how they could help and support you or to get involved in their fundraising just head over to their website http://alzheimers.org.uk.
