Respite Care

Individual support to give family carers a much‑needed break while ensuring their loved one is safe at home – whether it’s a few hours, overnight or for an extended period.

Our trained care professionals can step in to maintain routines, promote independence and offer reassurance to both the individual and their family, providing continuity of care.

Respite Care is also ideal during periods of recovery after illness or hospital discharge, when additional support can help someone regain strength and confidence. Families have peace of mind knowing their loved one is supported by experienced carers and our team works closely with them to understand the individual’s needs, preferences and daily routines.

Types of Respite support we offer

  • Respite Homecare – temporary daytime visits to support personal care, meals, medication, mobility and companionship.
  • Respite Night Care – overnight support to ensure safety, comfort and reassurance during the night.
  • Respite Livein Care – short-term Live-in Care to provide continuous one-to-one support, covering for a family carer who is away, unwell or needs an extended break.
  • Day Sitting Services – a dedicated carer provides company and practical support during the day, allowing family members to take time for work, rest, or personal commitments.

Respite Care support includes:

  • Personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Meal preparation and hydration support
  • Medication prompts and monitoring
  • Mobility assistance and safe moving and handling
  • Dementia‑specific reassurance and structured support
  • Companionship, social engagement and emotional support
